Following the visit to TANU, NATTC and Rob McFarlane, Jerry put together a list of 10 projects costing £20k. Most of the funding has been raised from TEN members and work has started.
The urgently needed roof for the long-built but roofless new Kadinya school and church is being constructed (see picture).
Work has also started on developing the three guest houses at the Nyera Alternative Technology Training Centre as a "African Experience" for visitors to the Nyera Rock paintings.
The hostel to enable women from a wider area to be trained at TANU was started at the beginning of December (picture on title page) and the roof was ready to go on within two weeks. We have also paid for a knitting machine, so there are now two for students to use.
Meanwhile, Rob McFarlane has completed the new borehole, water storage and large tank for the fish farm in Entebbe that will be used for training for a fish farm franchise. There is a short video from him on the TEN projects page as well as more information on all these projects.
